Swoop

Baldface Lodge is primarily known for its excellent tree skiing, but a few glades are wide open. In these open glades we made long, lazy, easy turns: ssswoooooop, sssssswooooop, ssssssswoooooop.

Once in such a glade the snow was so light I couldn't feel my board beneath my feet. No vibration, no hiccup, no pressure on an edge: just a smooth glide through the air.

Like a dolphin leaping into the sunlight.

View through the snowcat window.
We made two runs here, which explains the number of tracks.
