I said that ponderosas are so straight and tall with branches starting up so high that they can't be climbed unless one is an acrobat.
While that's generally true, of course it's not absolutely true. Photo taken yesterday near Lava Island falls.
One detail I remembered yesterday: climbing ponderosas is sticky. You smell like pitch afterward.
