We've had a long, long dry spell here, such that snowboarding has been – I confess – quietly –
not that much fun. (Around here people always follow weather-related complaints with comments like, "But it's better than being at work! At least I'm not stuck in traffic!" As if some cosmic karma would force a complainer out of town, or keep the snow from
ever falling again.)
But now! It's snowing in the mountains at last. It's not a lot – only 2 inches have fallen so far today – but did you hear a breeze rattle your window panes last night? That was the entire population of Bend collectively letting out its breath.
Snow in the mountains at last.
